The right frame size is essential for a comfortable and safe cycling position. A bike that is too small or too large can lead to knee, back, or neck pain. On this page, you will find all the size charts and calculation methods for women's bikes, men's bikes, children's bikes, and e-bikes.
The difference between frame size and wheel size
Wheel size (expressed in inches, e.g., 28 inch) indicates the diameter of the wheel. Almost all adult city bikes have 28-inch wheels.
Frame size (expressed in centimeters, e.g., 53 cm) is the distance from the center of the bottom bracket to the point where the seat post emerges from the frame. This determines how high the bike is.
How to calculate your ideal frame size yourself?
The most accurate way to determine your frame size is by using your inseam:
- Take off your shoes and stand against a wall with your feet about 15 to 20 cm apart.
- Measure the distance from the floor to your crotch (in centimeters).
- Multiply this inseam by 0.68.
- The result is your theoretical frame size in centimeters. (Example: 80 cm × 0.68 = 54.4 cm → Frame size 53 or 55 cm).
Are you between two frame sizes?
When in doubt, always choose the smaller frame size. A smaller frame is more agile and can easily be compensated for by raising the saddle and handlebars slightly. You cannot make a frame that is too large smaller, and it will result in a riding position that is too stretched out.

4. Frame size for Electric Bikes (E-bikes)
Does the electric bike have a suspension seat post? Then subtract approximately 2 to 4 centimeters from your calculated frame size. The suspension in the seat post ensures that the saddle is standardly positioned slightly higher.
